Learning to fly your own Cirrus is an effective way to become competent and confident, while moving toward your Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating. At Montgomery County Aviation, your Cirrus Training Center, you will fly with Cirrus Standardized Instructors.
Typically earning a Private Pilot License will take approximately 60 to 80 flight hours, plus ground training with your instructor. A concentrated training schedule is the most effective and efficient way to complete your training. Planning to fly twice a week for one to one and a half hours and studying your flight training textbooks at home will keep you on schedule. At this rate many students manage to complete their training within six to nine months.
